                               10 NEW KEFI SCHOLARS FOR SY 2008-2009

 
Out more than 63 applicants from the different TSKI Branches who took the scholarship exams, 10 were accepted to the scholarship program of Kauswagan Educational Foundation, Inc. (KEFI) for school year 2008-2009.  The examinations were given on December 4 and 6, 2007 in Iloilo City and Cebu City respectively.  Our congratulations to the following successful examinees:

          2.  Sheimar Quin Babor     -        Sara, Iloilo

          3.  Nija Mae Emolaga        -        Guimaras

          4.  John Rey Gepolongca   -        Guimaras

          5.  Shielou Guerra             -        Siquijor

          6.  Allan Richard La Vega   -        San Jose de Buenavista, Antique

          7.  Josie Queenie Nieves   -        Miag-ao, Iloilo

          8.  Raquel Nopalla             -        Talibon, Bohol

          9.  Joseph Sabido             -        Cabatuan, Iloilo

          10. Troy Joseph Salvatierra-        Clarín, Bohol


The KEFI scholarship program is now on its third year of operation.  The first year took in 10 scholars, and another 10 for the second year.  The 10 scholars for the school year 2008-2009 comprise the third batch.  This brings to a total of 30 scholars this school year who are enrolled in colleges and universities in the cities of Iloilo, Cebu, Roxas, Dumaguete, and Tagbilaran and in San Jose, Antique and Candijay, Bohol.

The following are the first and second batches of scholars and the branches they came from:

Rosenie Baylon (Cuartero Branch), Stephen Silverio, Maria Lyn Nobleza, Jonadine Villeza, Angelo Bocala and Emily Celoso (all from Sigma Branch), Rossan Joy Nam-ay (Guimaras Branch), Chevie Relatibo (Roxas Branch), Shiela Marcon (Pototan Branch), Mary Kris Gualberto, Apple Dawn Tamba and Sherealyn Absalon (all from Culasi Branch), Mae Juafel Gonzales and Danah Talaban (Guimaras Branch), Jarie Mariell Castro (Passi City Branch), Jelyn Ocial and Leziel Jay Ociones (Jagna Branch), Ma. Lenie Caletina (Lapu-lapu City Branch), Sallyshene Molig (Tagbilaran Branch) and Francis Bryan Cutamora (Ubay Branch).

The scholars are children of TSKI clients belonging to the top 10 of their high school class who were the topnotchers in the qualifying exams for scholarship of the KEFI.
