WHAT IS KEFI?

 
KEFI (Kauswagan Educational Foundation Inc.) is a non-stock, non-profit, charitable-educational, social and civic service corporation duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippines with company registration number. CN200728194. It is run by a Board of Trustees whose members are all Christians.
 
KEFI was established with the purpose of promoting a scholarship program for poor but deserving descendants of micro-finance clients in the Philippines by giving them opportunity to pursue higher education. It extends financial assistance, loans,or grants-in-aid and similar or other assistance to the end that they shall not be deprived of benefits of education on account of poverty.
 
Primarily, the corporation acts as the implementing partner of the educational assistance program of Taytay Sa Kauswagan Inc.(TSKI),the number one micro-finance institution in the country. The educational assistance generally aims to support the development of deserving high school graduating (and those who had graduated but not able to enroll in college) students by providing them access to quality and relevant college education. Particularly it will provide TSKI clients the opportunity to send their children to college.
